David R. Lewis was the son of John Douglas Lewis & Elizabeth Stout
He married Mary R Redden, Oct 4, 1832 at Anderson, Kentucky.
FOUNDED Lewisville (was located .7miles north of Maple Grove - no longer there), lots of information on him and the family both in the Philomath Museum and the Monmouth Museum located closer to the Dalles.
Owned Lot 18 with John Lewis, South Fork of the Luckiamute River, says John H. Smith owned Lot 17 on the same river. Near Lewisville, Oregon.
