Biography

Lydia Lewis, daughter of Lewis Lewis and Mary Powell, was born on 5 February 1709 in Chester county, Pennsylvania Colony. [1]

Lydia and William Garrett declared their Intention to marry on 21 October 1728 at the Quaker Montly Meeting in Goshen, Chester county, Pennsylvania. [2]

Lydia Lewis and William Garrett were married on 5 February 1729 in Newtown, Pennsylvania. [3] [4] They had at least the following children:

  1. Rebecca (Garrett) Ashbridge;
  2. Susanna (Garrett) Hoopes;
  3. Thomas Garrett;
  4. Lewis Garrett;
  5. Mary (Garrett) Hoopes.
