Biography

Hannah was born in August 1728. The day of her birth is presented differently in two different sources. In the Quaker Meeting Minutes her birth occurred on August 3 [3rd day of the 6th month in 1728] and in the Quaker Meeting Minutes [from Pensylvania, Delaware, Haverford Preparative Meeting] and in her Find a Grave Memorial, her birth occurred on August 23, 1728. In both records, Hannah is identified as the daughter of Abraham and Mary (Morgan) Lewis.

William married Hannah Lewis' in 1748.

There are records of Hannah's welcome at a Quaker meeting in 1755. Hannah died in 1765. She and William had five sons:

William Jr., 1749;
Joseph, 1752;
Benjamin, 1753;
James, 1759; and
John, 1765.

Hannah apparently died with the birth of last child, John.
