Thomas Emmett Lewis was born on the 20th of September, 1874 in Bay, Michigan, United States to parents William Lewis and Sarah Ann Bishop^[1]

Thomas married Lenora Alice Baker on the 26th of December, 1896 in Frederic, Crawford, Michigan. ^[2]

They had the following children;

• Russel E. Lewis b. 27 May 1900
• Ferris E. Lewis b. 1905

Thomas served in World War I. He registered for duty on September 12th, 1918 in Crawford, Michigan, U.S. ^[3]
