Henry moved with his family to Decatur County, Georgia by 1824 settling along Butler's Creek. He grew up and married Louis Whiddon on July 11, 1837.[1][2]
He appears on both the 1840[3] and 1850 census.[4]

Henry became administrator of the estate of Eli Whiddon and sold lands as such in 1851.[5]
Henry moved to Calhoun County, Florida soon after 1850.
A Henry H. Lewis is listed on the 1864 Militia Census as being 55 years, 7 months old, and exempted for being Justice of the Peace.[6]
