The date of Ann's death is not known. In her husband's will which was probated in August 1785, he provided for his wife Ann as long as she lives, specifying annual income, an additional sum to be drawn on as needed, and "use of that mare which is called hers." The estate was to be divided among his two sons, Joseph and Ebenezer, who were named as executors.[4] According to one source, Ann died and was buried in York County, Pennsylvania (now Adams County), although the location is not known.[1]
Notes
As noted in Frazier et al (1985), Ann has sometimes been thought of as unmarried or dying young, because of her absence from Virginia, but the marriage is confirmed in two different sources: Torrence (1938)[2] and Virkus[5]
Uncertainty is compounded because Ann was the only child of John Lewis not mentioned in his will, which was written in November 1761 ahead of his death in February 1762. Whether she (and her sons) were omitted because of estrangement or lack of contact is unclear.

DNA Connections
It may be possible to confirm family relationships with Ann by comparing test results with other carriers of her mitochondrial DNA.
However, there are no known mtDNA test-takers in her direct maternal line.
It is likely that these autosomal DNA test-takers will share some percentage of DNA with Ann:
But in my Ydna matches there is a tester with a profile for an unknown Elliott as the ancestor of a child with an Anne Lewis.
On the face of it not much, except that my Elliott's were from County Donegal in Ireland, and there were a number of Donegal families on the Borden tract. With Elliott's near by.
Finlay is also a Donegal name, as coincidentally is McNutt.
That Anne does not appear on her fathers will, may as indicated, be due to a fall out of some sort.
I thought i would just look at something as i finished this note.
I checked my autosomal dna matches for any Lewis in Donegal.
And the first match is for the family of John Lewis. The second match is not just John Lewis line its an Elliott line too, but later out of Philadelphia.
The third match is daughter of the second match and fourth is also John Lewis but i would have to question the tree in this one. Its just not possible to get the detail they have for Ireland in that time period, but it is John Lewis of Virginia.
So at some point there is a concentration of Donegal families in the Borden land lots.
These will be specific to a small area of East Donegal, the Laggan Valley up to Ramelton & Fanad.
John Lewis' children' were all born in lreland except Charles, the
youngest. See Page 121 https://occgs.com/projects/rescue/family_files/files/LEWIS%20Family.pdf
Also what Source proves marriage of Ann Lewis to Michael Finley? Same reference above States John Lewis' daughter Ann never married.
