Biography

Jane Bell was born circa 1744 in Belfast, County Down, Northern Ireland. She was the daughter of Robert Bell and Agnes Fleming. It is not currently known when the family immigrated to the States.

Marriage

Jane married four times:

1. She first married a Reverend Lewis, who was born in Hampshire Co., VA.
2. Second, she married Charles Saviers, son of Nicholas Saviers.
3. On Nov. 22, 1776, when Jane was 30 years old, she married Benjamin Reno at Pattersons Creek, Van.
4. Her fourth marriage to Hultz/Hulse occurred circa 1788 when she was 44 years old, in Allegheny Co., PA.

There were born to Benjamin (Reno) and his wife Jane (nee Bell) six sons and one daughter, viz. : William, Robert, Zachariah, Benjamin, Charles, Louis and Susannah, who married Benjamin Jackson.

Death

Jane's date of death is uncertain. She is believed to have died in Washington County, Pennsylvania, and is buried in Bethel Cemetery, Bethel Park, Allegheny County, Pennsylvania. ^[1] Note: Dates of Birth Death on FAG possibly incorrect as recorded - unsourced dates
