THE 1782 NEW KENT COUNTY, VIRGINIA CENSUS INFO. ADDED BY JIM MILLER:
In the 1782 Census above my 4th great grandmother, MaryAnn "Patty" (Perkins-2039) Miller (b-3/8/1755 New Kent Co., VA) was listed as Head of Household with 4 white & 5 black. Her husband, John Miller had died not long prior to the 1782 Census. ALSO listed on this same 1782 Census in New Kent Co., VA was a Benjamin Lewis with 6 white & 22 black. The Benjamin Lewis of this profile is the ONLY Lewis family member of all the descendants of William Lewis (b-1560 England) with the given name of Benjamin in the 1700's; so there is a good chance he is the Benjamin Lewis of this WikiTree profile. A cousin of mine Elizabeth "Isabella" Miller (b-1640) married John Lewis, Jr. of Warner Hall. I have found a number of ties of the Lewis' of New Kent Co., VA and Middlesex Co., VA to my Miller's in early America.
