Edward Richard was born about 1826 and baptised on the 3rd September 1826 at Temple, Bristol, England, the son of Enoch Lewis (labourer) and Elizabeth Lewis of Temple[1].
Employed at JS Fry's chocolate factory in Bristol until 1850. Then as an engine driver (unknown if this was in a factory or on railway.) Last employed as sexton for St Michael & All Angels, Bishopston.
