Agnes Liddell was born in Paisley, Renfrewshire, Scotland, in 1837, the daughter of Hugh Liddell and Marion Kirkland.[1]
She emigrated to Australia, arriving at the port of Launceston, Tasmania, 13 Feb 1856 on the ship 'Mermaid' with her father, Hugh and siblings Elizabeth and Andrew. The family arrived as free settlers under an Indenture System.[2][3]
She married James Dodd 26 Apr 1858 in Port Sorell, Tasmania, Australia[4]
Agnes and James had 14 children between 1857 and 1883.
She died in Sheffield, Tasmania in 1921 and was buried in Sheffield Cemetery.[5][6]
