Amy Agatha Light bourn was born in 1892 in Nassau, Bahama Islands to William Edmund Lightbourn and Isabel Ann Hudson Lightbourn.

She married Charles Wilfred Kemp, as his second wife, 16 May 1929 at the residence of Mr. Arnold Kemp, East Bay Street, Nassau, New Providence, Bahamas. The couple had a son and a daughter.
