Sarah is mentioned in a 2012 Blog post from "The Family Snoop" which reads: “John Lott, Sr., my maternal 5th great-grandfather, was born c. 1740 in Edgecombe County, North Carolina. He was the son of John Lott and Unknown Spouse. He married Sarah "Sallie" Lightfoot c. 1760. Little is known about Sallie, including her date of birth or information on her parents and siblings. There has been a lot of speculation, but no concrete documentation.” [1]
The following reference is for a totally different person.
The AGBI record for Sarah Savin Lightfoot 1780, references "Colonial Families of the Southern States," Stella Pickett Hardy, Tobias Wright Publisher, New York, 1911 p. 339, which states that this Sarah was the wife of a Philip Lightfoot born in 1784. Philip Lightfoot married Sallie S. Bernard, daughter of William and Fanny Bernard, granddaughter of William and Sarah (Savin) Bernard, in August of 1804 in Caroline County, VA (marriage record on Ancestry). They died and are buried in Port Royal, VA. (grave inscription transcript also on Ancestry, not from Find-a-Grave) [2]
A Sarah Lightfoot "Sally" Lott formerly Deshulto was removed as the mother of Luke to enable a merge. A pending merge is set but and further research is needed to ascertain if Sarah was indeed married earlier.

This is another attempt by the Lott family to connect to the York County Lightfoots. WikiTree is full of nonsense from this quarter.
I'm a Lott, but suffering succotash. We're not related to the York Lightfoot family. Get over it. It's just a legend. I had to remove another bunch of nonsense from Martha Jane Lott's profile.
I'm not the only one who thinks so. This is from a 1999 email from Kathryn Odom Brown http://freepages.rootsweb.com/~jcbarron/genealogy/lott/lott99.htm
"About the John(3) m. to Sally ? Most that speak of this marriage are convinced she was Sally Lightfoot. An "author" who shall remain nameless even told me that he had proof and that she is buried in a cemetery in Telfair county, GA. Well that peaked my interest since I have a home in the next county. When I told him I would like to visit the grave he changed the subject and never gave me the location even though I repeatedly asked. He also said that none of John and Sally's children existed except Mark. He was an only child and that all the Lott's in MS had black blood in them. He said that there was no truth to the family rumor that she was a Cherokee from NC. She was from a very distinguished family from England and he had proof. I knew after our telephone conversation that I was dealing with someone who wasn't interested in the facts, rather, he was interested in painting a rosy picture for the clients who hired him to trace the line. And some people pay for this kind of info. I did go look at his book and was not impressed. I prefer to be entranced by the rich background of people who were not privileged and who had downs, as in Montgomery Co, Ga when Jesse Lott and his sons and brothers lost all they had at tax sells. Jesse then moving south in 1806. I adore crying over the still-births, the cavalrymen, the adventures who seem to drop down like manna with no history with them. There are few officers in all my lines, no money to speak of, some preachers some promiscuous. That's what gives us a story."

There is a second AGBI record for a Sarah Savin Lightfoot 1780, referencing "Colonial Families of the Southern States," Stella Pickett Hardy, Tobias Wright Publisher, New York, 1911 p. 339, which states that this Sarah was the wife of a Philip Lightfoot born in 1784. and the following:
From https://thefamilysnoop.blogspot.com/2011/12/john-lott-iii.html?m=1 “John Lott, Sr., my maternal 5th great-grandfather, was born c. 1740 in Edgecombe County, North Carolina. This profile should show Thomas Lightfoot as the father of Sarah Sallie (Lightfoot) Savigne /Savin - Bernard as mentioned in the Phillip 3 estate papers which do not have permission to be reproduced in any form.
Nothing about this profile is accurate. John Lightfoot and Mary Clack had no children. He died in 1751 and she married a man named Ruffin. ref an article from the William and Mary Quarterly, available on JSTOR: Excerpt:
Issue of James and Mary Clack (1) Sterling Clack, clerk of Brunswick County, married Anne Eldridge, and had issue: James and Eldridge Clack, probably others. After his death in 1757, his widow, Anne, renounced the provisions of his will. (Brunswick County records.) (2) Mary, married I. John Lightfoot. No issue; II. Robert Ruffin, (marriage bond Sept. 6, 1751),
Sarah Savin Lightfoot, "documented" on the profile turns out to be a woman named Sarah Savin Bernard. I found a second AGBI record , referencing Colonial Families of the Southern States, published 1911. This book, on p. 339, states that this Sarah was the wife of a Philip Lightfoot born in 1784. Philip Lightfoot married Sallie S. Bernard in August of 1804 in Caroline County, VA (marriage record on Ancestry). They died and are buried in Port Royal, VA. (grave inscription transcript also on Ancestry, not from Find-a-Grave)
All of this seems to be intended to tie this person to a Cherokee woman named Ga ho ga. There is no relationship, since the profile is for a person who doesn't exist. Ga ho ga had two daughters named Nancy and Dorcas.
