Walter was born in 1899 in Camberwell, London. [1] He was the son of William Lightfoot and Lizzie Moore. He passed away in 1930.

On 31 March 1901 in Dawlish Street, Lambeth, London, with his parents William C. Lightfoot and Lizzie Lightfoot and his siblings John Lightfoot aged 9, William Lightfoot aged 8, Catherine Lightfoot aged 6, Arthur Lightfoot aged 4 and Ada Lightfoot aged 0. [1]
