Doris was born in 1917. She was the daughter of John Lightsey and Von Stewart. In 1930, the family was living in Louisiana.[1] By 1940, her mother had died, and only she and her sister Katherine were living with their widowed father in Madison Parish, Louisiana.[2]
She married Grady L Simpson on 24 Nov 1943. They both were mentioned in the death record of their 19 year old son, Donald Lavelle Simpson, on 18 Jun 1966 in Montgomery, Montgomery, Alabama.[3]
She passed away in 1999 in Alabama. [4] Burial was in the Montgomery Memorial Cemetery in Montgomery, Montgomery County, Alabama.[5]
