1911 Census records shows David Austin, wife Gertrude and children Harry, Emily, Guy, Chester, Amber and Bessie living in the Fredericton area in NB
Gertrude was born in the USA according to the 1921 Census of Canada ,[2]
1921 Census lists Gertrude Austin 52, widowed, living next door to son Harry (and his wife Mabel). She has her daughters Amber 14, Bessie 18 and sons Emery 26, Guy 21, and Chester 9, all living with her. The Census record also states Gertrude's year of Immigration as 1891.
Gertrude Lilly ... She passed away in 1950.[3] Death certificate lists Gertrude was born in Littleton, Maine, USA on April 4, 1870 but she died February 14, 1950 and it says that she was 80 years old. She was widowed. Father was Moses Lilley of Houlton Maine, USA and Alvinia Lilley of Houston, Maine, USA. The informant was Harry Austin (son)
