Son of Simeon Preston Lilly (1853 - 1930) and Sarah Elizabeth Davis Lilly (1851 - 1933).
He married Cynthia Jane Lilly Lilly (1870 - 1952). She is a daughter of Robert Calvin "Miller Bob" Lilly 1831–1905 and Ida Virginia Gore Lilly 1838–1923.
