Biography
From "The Lilly Papers" Indiana State Library
SAMUEL LILLY Lineage 15 - I (Michael A. Lilly) deleted the purported ancestry of Samuel because it was concocted by the notorious fraudster Gustav Anjou who was paid by Eli Lilly to find his lineage, but came up with a complete fictitious line as he did in many other geneaologies. Google him.
Emigrated from Bristol, England in 1730, prior to this he married Miss Ann Price, two ceremonies being performed the same day to celebrate the union, one by the Catholic, the other by the Established Church.
This grand old man settled in Adams County, Conowago twp., Pa., were he bought and improved a farm he called "Eden". He died January 8, 1758 at the age of 59 years on his farm. His wife Anna also died on "Eden Farm" in June 1784, aged 85 years.
