Washington (Kinney) Lilly, was born in 1814,a son of Edmond and Edith (Meador) Lilly.

He married Polly Mann; the marriage bond is dated November 17, 1835, and recorded in Giles County, Virginia.

They settled on a farm in Dunns, WEST Virginia, where they accumulated through thrift and good management, a large amount of land and other property.

Their children were:

  1. Lucinda, who married William H. (Bear Wallow) Lilly
  2. Mary, who married Rufus Lilly;
  3. Julia Ann, who married Joseph Lilly, and later Granville Houchins;
  4. Celia, who married Wesley Wood;
  5. James, who married a Meador;
  6. Daniel T., who married Jane Ellison;
  7. Elizabeth, who married Henry Akers;
  8. Julina, who married John E. Lilly
  9. Minerva, who married Robert F. Ellison; #John,who married Elizabeth Meador;
  10. Henry, who married a Meador;
  11. Sarah, who married, but the name of her husband is unknown.
