Samuel, son of George Lillie, was born at Reading, Massachusetts on 14 May 1665. He settled in Reading, but removed after 1721, probably to Woodstock, Connecticut. He was a member of the First Church of Reading in 1721. He married Hannah Boutelle, who was born abt. 1672, in Reading on 23 Dec 1692.[1] Several of his sons located in Sutton, Massachusetts. His children born at Reading were:[2]
In 1753, his heirs, Samuel Lilley of Stafford, Connecticut, John Lilley of Dudley, Jonathan Lilley, David Lilley, both of Sutton, Hannah, wife of Ebenezer Daggett, Elizabeth, wife of Timothy Carter, both of Sutton, Sarah, wife of John Parker of Reading, and Mary, wife of Jacob Gibbs of Hopkington, all signed an estate distribution agreement.[10]
Notes
One source[2] claims he married Hannah in 1694, but had a daughter, Hannah, in 1693. Another source[1] claims he was married in 1692. It would make more sense that we was married in 1692 and had his first child the year afterward.
