Catherine May Lilly was born May 9, 1871 to William Lilly and Louisa Stringer in Birmingham, Warwickshire.[1] She had three older siblings, John, Mary and William. [2] In the 1891 census, Catherine was recorded as working as a school teacher.[3]
On May 7, 1894 Catherine married Walton Gibson at All Saints Church in Birmingham[4] and at some point following this the couple migrated to the United States, where their four children Jean, Claude[5], John and Marjorie were born.
Catherine passed away on February 1, 1920 in Atlantic City, New Jersey.[6]
