Funeral Services Set This Afternoon For Mrs. Mary F Richmond
Funeral services for Mrs. Mary Frances Plumley Richmond, 81, of Abraham, will be held at 2 p. m. today at the New Salem Baptist Church.
The Rev. Owen Lilly will officiate with burial to follow in the family cemetery.
Mrs. Richmond died at 1:30 p. m. Tuesday in a local hospital following an extended illness. Born at Beaver Oct. 5, 1868, she had been a lifelong resident of Raleigh County, and was a member of the Abraham Missionary Baptist Church.
Survivors include: her husband, Charles Richmond; five sons, Melvin Plumley, of Mead, Lemon, Joe and Allen Plumley of Abraham, and Myles Plumley, of Alloy; eight daughters, Mrs. Allie Gordon, and Mrs. Victoria Todd, both of Beckley, Mrs. Adeline Sydenstricker and Mrs. Sadie Adkins, both of Sprague, Mrs. Roy Bennett, of Baltimore, Md., Mrs. Nora Saunders, of Raven Mrs. Laura Kincaid, of Abraham, and Mrs. Macie Plumley, of Prince; 64 grandchildren and 55 great grandchildren.
The body was removed from the Calfee Funeral home to the residence Wednesday at 4 p. m.
