Census

The Census for 1810 and 1820 find Edmond in Giles County, ages 25-45 and over 46 respectively. These support the birth date and the West Virginia Vital Statistic Records from Andrea Pack being of c. 1772.

Death

Edmond died in 1832 at Mercer, Virginia, United States.[1] Edmund was 1st laid to rest beside his father in the old Lilly Cemetery, Lilly, West Virginia, on the Beach of The Bluestone (now called the John P. 'Snakebite" Lilly Cemetery). During the construction of the Bluestone Dam, remains were moved to the Lilly-Crews Cemetery at Nimitz, West Virginia.[2]

Research Notes

Private under the command of Captain Gideon Massie, War of 1812, Virginia, His tour of service was from 26 Aug 1814 to 10 Feb 1815 and spent this tour at Camp Carter, VA.[citation needed]

Edmund lived in Albemarle, VA which later was known as Fluvanna, Va in 1777. His family moved to Bedford VA in 1781 when he was eight. His parents bought on 23 Aug 1784 a farm that was in a part of Bedford County of which in 1775 became part of Franklin Co., VA. Edith Meador and Edmund were married in Boutetourt Co., on 20 Mar 1795 of which later became Mercer, WV.[citation needed]

In reference to tax records on file in The Virginia State Archives, Richmond, VA on Aug 10 1802 the Lilly's & the Meadors bought land at the mouth of Little Bluestone from Thomas Copley, & located in the area that became known as Lilly, W Va.[citation needed]

Edmond was born in 1772. He passed away in 1832.
