Biography

Matthew was born at Hingham 10 Jun 1735. He was the son of Matthew and Abigail (Lincoln) Lincoln.[1]

He married first Susanna Gill 12 Apr 1764.[1]

He married second 27 Nov 1766 Rebecca Lincoln.[1]

He died 18 Dec. 1821, aet. 87th year.[1]

Matthew lived on the paternal homestead located at South Street and the corner of Hersey Street in Hingham.[1]

He was a private in Capt. Ebenezer Beal's Company, which marched, Aug. 15, 1757, to the relief of Fort William Henry, which, however, had already surrendered.[2]
