Biography

John Lincoln is related to US President Abraham Lincoln. Here is the trail.

John C Lincoln, son of Thomas Lincoln and Elizabeth Casner, was born March 15, 1798 in Lexington, Fayette, Kentucky. He married Nancy Holtzclaw on April 12, 1827 in Clay County, Missouri[1]. After Nancy died, John married Rachel A Catching, on March 23, 1840 in Buchanan County, Missouri[2]. John died May 3, 1882 in Andrew County, Missouri and was buried in Foultz Cemetery, Fillmore, Andrew, Missouri[3]

John C and Nancy (Holtzclaw) Lincoln had the following child:

  1. Justus Casner Lincoln

Middle Name

Although I have found no evidence for his middle name, I suspect that it was Casner. It was his mother's maiden name and he named his first born son Justus Casner Lincoln. No evidence though, so leaving it as just C for now.
