William F. Lindley, unnamed at birth, was born on 19 August 1881 in Kings County, New York, the son of William Lindley and Elvaretta Stillwell.[1]

Dec. 1867, a groceryman; Hannah J., 30, b. Aug. 1870; Emma B., 25, b. March 1875; Clara M., 23, b. April 1877, a bookkeeper; William F., 19, b. Aug. 1881, a clerk; Harry E., 16, b. May 1884, in school; Howard M., 14, b. April 1886, in school; Allen L., 11, b. Feb. 1889, in school; Albert N., 8, b. Nov. 1892, in school; Clarence E., 5, b. March 1895. Living nearby was (William’s brother*) Reuben Lindley, 51, b. England, his wife, Harriet, 43, and two sons. NOTE: William and Reuben’s wives, Elvaretta and Harriet (Stillwell) were sisters*[3][4]

The household included William Lindley, 56, born in England; his wife, Elvaretta, 46; their children, Emma, 30; Clara, 28; William, 23; Harry, 21; Howard, 19; Allen, 16; Albert, 11; and Clarence, 10.[5]
William F. Lindley died on 23 July 1908 in Brooklyn, Kings, New York, and was buried on 26 July in Greenwood Cemetery, Brooklyn. William was 26, single, and a resident of Kings County, NY. William was born about 1882 in New York, the son of William Lindley and Elvaretta Stillwell (both b. NY). [6]
William Fletcher Lindley, 1881-1908 (26), is buried with his parents and five siblings at Green-Wood Cemetery, Brooklyn, New York.[7]
