Elizabeth Lindley was born 4 Oct 1720 in Chester County, Pennsylvania, the daughter of James Lindley and Eleanor Parke.
Elizabeth married her step-brother, George Jones, on 3 Feb 1740, St.George's Parish, Harford, Maryland. George Jones was son of Henry Jones by his first wife Loveday Archer. Her sister Mary Lindley married John Woody in same parish two years earlier so that there is some reason to believe that the Lindley girls had fallen away from Quakerism and were perhaps attending Episcopalian services. [1]
When Elizabeth was 19 she married on 3 February 1740 in Perryville, Baltimore, Maryland, United States.[8][9][10][11][12]
Elizabeth was buried in 1775 at an unknown location.[13]

I think we should stop beating this dead horse. Everyone wants a record as do I but EVERYTHING listed to the left IS NOT a record it is just an OPT (Other People's Tree). I will accept a true record and by Quaker standards, that comes from Meeting House minutes. In all probability, this controversy will probably never be solved.
There are two daughters connected named Elizabeth. They have different husbands. While some trees have these as the same person, I have a feeling that one is connected to the wrong parents. We need to check the records.
I got the impression earlier this morning they might not be the same person. Looking now, I see this opinion online that appears to be based on the records. We need to get the originals.
Lindley-113 and Lindley-551 do not represent the same person because: Barnes-1145 was married to Elizabeth Lindley. There is no evidence that she was twice married.
A marriage record for this one would be very helpful.
