Research Note

The name of Sir Alexander de Lindsay's wife is not known with any certainty, although she is believed to have been a sister of James, Steward of Scotland.^[1][2] Therefore, Beatrix Stewart is being detached as the mother of the subject of this profile, until a reliable source can be found documenting this relationship.
