Drum then married, for his second wife, Lindsay, the daughter of a gentleman who had fled from Fifeshire in consequence of a slaughter which he had committed. Page 54, Forbes Leslie.
Possible reason for gentleman fleeing Scotland. In 1487 Alexander and others were charged and placed in jail at Balgowie for the slaughter of Alexander Fraser and George Tailzeour. Page 332, Temple.
Probably this is the Lindesay included in the (Kings) pardon to Drum and his followers for the slaughter of the Frasers. Footnote page 54, Forbes Leslie.
She could have been the daughter of Walter Stewart of Beaufort.
