This does not seem to be a duplicate rather just a coincidence of names for Mary and her husband. The given names are quite common and the surnames are common in that area of the world so one can expect such coincidences. Lindsay-1330 is sourced but shows no evidence of having children named Hugh, James, or John.

I think the father in this profile is really the grandfather. I think the father is John Lindsey, 3rd Lord of the Byres, born 1482, died Oct 26, 1498.
