Biography

Adelaide Lister was the daughter of Thomas Lister and Mary Grove.
She married, firstly, Thomas Lister, 2nd Baron Ribblesdale, son of Thomas Lister, 1st Baron Ribblesdale, and Rebecca Feilding, on 9 February 1826.
She married, secondly, John Russell, 1st Earl Russell, son of John Russell, 6th Duke of Bedford, and Hon Georgiana Elizabeth Byng, on 11 April 1835.
She died in child-birth on 1 November 1838.
As a result of her marriage, Adelaide Lister was styled as Baroness Ribblesdale on 22 September 1826.
Her married name became Russell.
