Biography

Thornley Littlejohn was born on 12 Jul 1870 in Ops Township, Victoria, Ontario, Canada. He was the youngest child of Humphry and Harriet Littlejohn(s).[1][2]

On 2 Apr 1871 Thornley was living with his parents in Ops, Victoria County, Ontario, Canada. His father's occupation was Farmer.[2]

On 4 Apr 1881 Thornley was living with his parents in Ops, Victoria County, Ontario, Canada. His father's occupation as Farmer.[3]

In about 1889 Thornley immigrated (likely with his parents) to Pembina County, Dakota Territory, United States. He followed many members of the extended Littlejohn family.[4]

On 27 Feb 1893 Thornley married Margaret Jane (aka Maggie) McConnell in Lindsay, Victoria, Ontario, Canada. His residence at the time of marriage was Dakota, United States, and his occupation was Farmer.[5] Thornley and his bride returned to North Dakota.[4]

On 1 June 1900 Thornley and Maggie were living in Carlisle, Pembina, North Dakota, United States, with one child. Thornley's occupation was Farmer. They lived next to Thornley's older brother John.[4]

On 15 Apr 1910 Thornley and Maggie were living in St. Thomas, Pembina, North Dakota, United States, with two children. Thornley's occupation was Grain Buyer.[6]

In about 1916 Thornley and Maggie returned to Canada and settled in Winnipeg, Manitoba.[7]

On 1 June 1921 Thornley and Maggie were living in Winnipeg, Manitoba, Canada, with one child. Thornley's occupation was Machinist.[7]

Thornley died on 22 Jun 1947 in Winnipeg, Manitoba, Canada. He was buried in Brookside Cemetery, Winnipeg.[8]
