She married Samuel Beamus Knight on December 20, 1894, and they had 11 children together between 1896 and 1914. When her husband Beamus Knight died from the pandemic that swept the world in 1918, she raised her 8 living children without remarrying. She died on March 22, 1960, in Ashford, Alabama, at the age of 78, and was buried in Headland, Henry County, Alabama.
