Biography

Elizabeth Livingston was the daughter of Alexander Livingston, 5th Lord Livingston, and Lady Agnes Douglas, the daughter of John Douglas, 2nd Earl of Morton.^[1][2]

She married John Buchanan of Buchanan on 03 Feb 1543 or 1544.^[1][2]

Research Notes

I did some cleanup here, removing information that was not applicable to her, but talked about her father or brothers. I have removed the unsourced tag, as James Balfour Paul's work references actual manuscripts, and thus fulfills source requirements. Unfortunately, it does not provide any information on her children, only her parents and her marriage. Paul references Adv. Lib. MS. 35, 2, 4, ii. 516. This is Advocates Library Manuscript 35. The Advocates Library was donated to the National Library of Scotland after its creation in 1925. Unfortunately, they don't seem to have retained the same numbering system, and I am uncertain what the actual document is -- though it is surely at the National Library of Scotland.

I also added a secondary source by Burke. This seems to be referencing the same document cited by Paul, but does not actually cite it.
