Mrs. Varnam was born in Horry County, SC on October 24, 1933 and was the daughter of the late George and Ruby Watts Lockamy. She was the wife of the late Olaf Varnam and was also preceded in death by a brother, David Earl Lockamy and a sister, Anna Ruth Harrison.

She is survived by a son, Olaf Dale Varnam of the home; a daughter, Connie Varnam of Supply; four grandchildren, Hope Tyndall, Amanda Varnam, Faith Coleman, Evan Coleman; two great grandchildren; two brothers, Johnny Lockamy of Shallotte, Buddy Lockamy of Bolivia; three sisters, Princess Robinson of Supply, Nellie Maultsby of Winnabow, Mary Jane Greene of Candor.

Funeral services will be held today Saturday April 23, 2011 at 4pm at Dixon Chapel United Methodist Church with Reverend Bobby Norton officiating. Burial will follow in the Georgetown-Holden Cemetery.

Pallbearers will be Connie Varnam, Faith Coleman, Evan Coleman, Ronnie Coleman, Gordon Rouse, Chris Greene, and Joel Lovett.^[1]
