Biography
Jonas Locke was baptized on January 22, 1727, in Lexington, Middlesex, Massachusetts [1].
He was a soldier in the American Revolution and served in several campaigns. He resided at Shutesbury (Locke's Village) and removed to Deerfield ~1780~1790. When he died, he left considerable property, and was "highly respected by his townsmen."[2]
