Mrs. L. D. Baughman.
Mrs. Nancy A. Baughman, wife of L. D. [Lorenzo Dow] Baughman, passed away at the family residence, 221 Elm street, Wednesday evening about 9 o'clock. While she had been ill for some time past, her condition thought to be much improved, and her death was unexpected.
Mrs. Baughman was born in Butler county 74 years ago. She was born November. 27, 1838: Much of her life had been spent in this city, and she was well known for her lovable Christian character and her many charitable deeds. She was a member of the First Christian church and was one of the first persons ever bauptized in that edifice.
She had been for many years an active worker in the congregation and was a member of the C. W. B. M. In addition, she belonged to the Degree of Honor, the ladies auxiliary organization to the United Workmen.
She was married 56 years ago to L. D. Baughman, who survives her with two children, Mrs. Amy Cottam and Mrs. Ora McCullough, and four grandchildren. She leaves also the following brothers and sisters: Rev. David Locke of this city, Mrs. Martha Masonheimer of Port Allegany, Mrs. Elizabeth Kelly of Slippery Rock, and - Mrs. J. D. Vogel of Cleveland.
The funeral services will be held Saturday afternoon at 3 o'clock at the residence, and interment will be made in Greenwood cemetery.
