Dona was born on 09 Jul 1909.

She is listed in the 1910 census in Roberts County, TX. The household includes: Newet F Lacke Head M 22 Texas; Agatha E Lacke Wife F 22 Texas; Ellis Lacke Son M 2 Texas; Agatha Lacke Daughter F 0 Texas.[1]

Dona is listed in the 1920 census in Miami, Roberts,TX. The household includes: Nuaton Locke Head M 31 Texas; Agatha E Locke Wife F 32 Texas; Ellis N Locke Son M 12 Texas; Dona Locke Daughter F 10 Texas.[2]

She is listed in the 1930 census in Miami, Roberts,TX. The household includes: N S Locke Head M 41 Texas; Agatha Locke Wife F 41 Texas; Ellis Locke Son M 22 Texas; Dona Locke Daughter F 20 Texas.[3]

She attended the University of Southern California, and met her future husband while living in Southern California in the early 30s [4].

On 27 Oct 1934 she married Douglas B Stone in Archer, Texas.[5] About a year later, while visiting Elida, NM with her husband, they stopped in to the bank that was founded by her late father in law. The president of the bank at the time, Mr. Click, had just had to fire his cashier, John Beeman, due to indiscretion with bank funds in a poker game, and offered the young Mr. Stone the vacant job. He took it on the spot, later becoming president and chief controlling interest in the family business, and living with his wife there until his death 50 years later.

She gave birth to a stillborn or sickly baby girl on 27 Jun 1936. [6]. According to stories passed down, her doctor told her that she would never have children, however she was a fierce woman and was determined to be a mother. She had two sons 5 years after that: Barry and David.

She is listed in the 1940 Census in Portales, Roosevelt, New Mexico. The household includes: Douglas B Stone Head M 30 New Mexico; Dona L Stone Wife F 30 Texas; Douglas Barry Stone Son M 2 New Mexico.[7]

She passed away on 21 Jul 1995 after a period of roughly 5 years dealing with Alzheimer's disease. [8]
