Research notes

• There are numerous other Charles Locke's born around same time, for example one married to a Sarah West. Had initially assumed that Charles Locke died early as after 1881 he does not appear to be living with his wife and children. However, after applying for son William's birth certificate and learning Charles's middle name is Crispin, found an alternative 1905 London death registration and numerous London workhouse records.
