Biography
Thomas Lockhart was born on 28 Oct 1765 in Northampton, North Carolina to parents Senator Samuel Lockhart and Elizabeth Barrett. He married Mary McGowan on 13 Apr 1790 in North Carolina. Children: Sarah, Samuel Homer, John Alexander, William McGowan, Elizabeth Ann, James McGowan, Thomas Benjamin, Matthew James, Mary Susan. He died in 7 Mar 1844 in Laurens, South Carolina.
