Birth

NOTE: On John's death certificate and gravestone it indicates DOB as 1830 yet in the 1850 census it indicates he is 16 so that would show a date of birth c 1834.

John's mother would be Dicey Fields IF he was born in 1830 as Bird was living with her in Russell County at that time.

If he was born c 1834 then his mother would be Jane Staten and his location of birth would be McDowell County.
