Biography

Josiah was born in 1802. It is believed that Josiah Lockhart married Sarah Fleenor prior to 1831 and Sarah passed away in 1843 (sources needed). On June 3, 1844 he applied for a marriage license to marry Abigail (Unknown) Bryant^[1] and they were married on June 6, 1844 in Washington, Indiana.^[2] He is listed with Abigail and three children from his first marriage and two children from her first marriage; on the 1850 Census.^[3] They are also listed together on the 1860 Census with two daughters still in his household from his first marriage.^[4] Family Search has listed that he passed away on August 24, 1865; but a source is needed for verification.
