Bliss was born in 1894 in Parrsboro, Nova Scotia, the son of Daniel and Eva Lockhart. In 1911, he lived there with his parents.[1]
Bliss married Emma Dow in 1919 in Stonington.[2]In 1920, they lived in Stonington where Bliss worked as a laborer in the quarry.[3]By 1930 they had moved to Portland where Bliss worked as a canner in a factory.[4]
Bliss died in Portland in 1982.[5]He is buried there in Brooklawn Memoria Park.[6]
