Ernest Loewenstein was born 28 May 1926[1][2] in Koblenz, Germany.[2] He was the son of Sol and Hedwig Loewenstein.[2] He had a brother, Guy, who predeceased him.[2]
He served in the United States Army[2] as a Private First Class during WWII. As such he has been given burial in the South Florida National Cemetery (Section 20 Site 2088) in Lake Worth, Florida.[3]
Ernie was a dairy farmer and a cattle dealer from 1948 to 2004. His farm was on East River Road in Norwich, New York.[2] In 1991, he added to his other enterprises the Riveredge Driving Range located on his farm. In 2004, Ernie retired and moved with his wife, Davina, to Lake Worth, Florida, where he passed away peacefully on Thursday, July 12, 2012.[1][2]
Ernest and Davina had three sons and a daughter and eight grandchildren.
