Biography

Samuel Anderson Long was born on May 16, 1817 in Tennessee to Henry Long and (other records show wife as Rachael Anderson). He died September 17, 1866 in Medina County, Texas, USA. His wife’s name was Louisa Jane McFarlin Long (1822-1904) Samuel and Louisa had the following children: William Henry Long (1844-1921), Andrew Jackson Long (1848-1930), Julia Anna Long Smith (1850-1882), James Monroe Long (1855-1918), and Frank M. Long (1856-1917). All children’s dob and dod calculated relationship. Samuel is buried in the Masonic Springs Cemetery, New Fountain, Medina County, Texas, USA. (Apparently he was a member of the Masonic Lodge).[1]

Samuel Long married Louisa Jane McFarlin on February 4, 1844 in Colorado, Texas [2]
