Research Notes
Find A Grave 21771157 is quite possibly incorrect. More research is needed, but the memorial 21104299 indicates the spouse as Lettia Sprinkle who is also buried at the Wilson-Thomlinson Cemetery[8] with a son Anderson D Long... However, it is unlikely that there were two John Long's of Laclede County, Missouri that both died on the same date.

DNA Connections
It may be possible to confirm family relationships with John by comparing test results with other carriers of his Y-chromosome or his mother's mitochondrial DNA.
However, there are no known yDNA or mtDNA test-takers in his direct paternal or maternal line.
It is likely that these autosomal DNA test-takers will share some percentage of DNA with John:
Is she Letitia or Mary? Could not find her at Foster-Long-Oakes Cemetery - there is a Mary there born 1780 who married John Slaughter Long, but the dates are too far off. Could you research this, please. Thanks
Long-3656 and Long-7740 appear to represent the same person because: These are a duplicate even use same photo but parents are in conflict - please merge if no evidence for parents remove the and add notes in bio.

? David Long had no children this young and Nickless Long was the only white person in a household consisting of free persons of color and slaves.
Now add the fact that this John was married in Maury in 1837 it appears that this John probably was raised in Maury County.
I was unable to locate a census for a "Long" or similar name in 1830-1840 Census. More research is needed to determine the correct parents.
