Biography

Margaret "was born 21 of September in the year 1741, and died the 26 of January in the evening about 10 o'clock, in the year 1808. So was her age 66 years, 6 months and 5 days," per translation of inscription on her headstone. Accepting DOB and DOD from headstone, she was 66 yrs 4 mos and 5 days old when she died. Alternative DOB 21 Feb 1741 (source?)

Anna Margaretha Long was born in Pennsylvania abt 1741, daughter of John Michael Long (1718-1786) and Maria Labarre (1720-1788). She had the following siblings: Mary, John, Elizabeth, Jacob, Catherine, Elias, Johan George Thomas, Joseph, John William, Abraham, Sarah, Barbara. Catherine married Elias Dietrich. (Heather's Genealogy).

Anna Margaretha married John Dietrich, and they had at least five children, all born in Mount Bethel, Northampton, PA:

Elias (1765-?) m. Catherine/Eva NN
Johannes Jacob (1768-1835) m. Christena Fester
Frederick (1773-1849) m. Susannah Knorr

Most of the family moved to Bloom Twp, Columbia, PA about 1803 (Dietterick 2003).

Long-18291 and Long-3067 appear to represent the same person because: Clear duplicate, but different DOBs need to be resolved. Wife of Johannes Dietrich, but not the fictitional Johann Elias Dietrich.
