He married Ellen Mathilda Dyer on 04/18/1887. The wedding too place in Lebanon, Missouri. He and Ellen had seven children: Joseph, Edward born 1888, Etta Mae born 1890, Viola Luetitia born 1892, Fredrick Herman born 1893, Nellie Cornelia born 1897, William Thomas, Jr. born 1903 and Charles Raymond born 1906.
