Biography

This is me. These are my parents. I and 3 of my siblings and my mother have all been DNA tested.

I first became interested in our family tree while in grade school in the late 60s. I still have the little chart I made that spanned a whole 4 generations.

I got back into again full speed after the invention of the internet. I've since talked to countless cousins, read countless documents and old letters, scanned many old family photos, and currently run three genealogy groups on Facebook (Walls, Wheeler, and Long) for my family.

I can't figure out how to link our ancestry. If you know how, maybe you can add me somehow? This is Lois's daughter, Lori aka Lorelei

I see that you have an interest in DNA study and have taken a DNA test. Would you be interested in starting a One Name Study for either your surname or another name you are researching? The purpose of the One Name Study is to coordinate any WikiTreers who are researching one particular surname and to provide a resource for collaboration.

For instructions on how to get started and suggestions for getting the most out of your study, see: One Name Study

For more information, contact Doug or Alison with any questions.

Hi ,

Now that you have had a little time to try WikiTree, there are a few more features you may find useful. Ideas on what to include in a profile can be found in Styles and Standards, including some tips on writing biographies. If you need to describe an event, an heirloom or a location relevant to your research, you may like to learn about Free Space Profiles. Lastly, sometimes you'll run into unresponsive profile managers. We have a process for resolving those unfortunate situations. If you have any questions, feel free to ask via my profile page. _____ Matt~ WikiTree Mentor

Long Family Genealogy https://www.facebook.com/groups/268960399905520/

Walls Family Genealogy https://www.facebook.com/groups/142190725952755/

Wheeler (and Gray) Family Genealogy https://www.facebook.com/groups/454325058033360/

There we can chat and share photos and stories and perhaps solve some mysteries in our Wikitrees.

I would like to volunteer to do wiki genealogy. My interest in my family tree started as a child. Years later I got hard core about it and became my family's genealogist. I am researching Long and Walls surnames and their ancestors, including Wheeler, Mitchell, Gray, Richards, Smith, Tippie, Rathbone, and many others. I am a DAR and maintain several surname groups on Facebook for family members and researchers. I love old family photos, so have many that I have collected. I also love sharing information and am looking forward to collaborating with others. Especially on those branches which have proved the most difficult. I believe stories and histories should be freely available and enjoyed by everyone. No descendant should be denied the knowledge of their ancestors.
