Biography

Wendel Lang/Long was born about 1650, probably in or near the village of Miesau, Kaiserslautern, Rheinland-Pfalz, in what is today Germany. He is said to be a son of Jacob Lang (~1615- aft. 1685), from Bruchmuhlbach, who died in Miesau on 16 Jan 1685. Jacob was married tho Catharina (~1620- 11 Oct 1686).

About 1675, Wendel Lang married Catharina Bulus (~1655- aft. Oct 1691). They had 5 children recorded in German church records:

1. Ludwig (~1673- ) m Maria Unknown
2. Johannes (~1675- ~1703) m Anna Catherine Bischoff (~1675- 23 Feb 1764); 3 children--Their youngest son Nickel (1702-1787) emigrates to Berks, Pennsylvania
3. Catharina m Jorg Kling on 24 Nov 1711 at Miesau
4. Philipp m Maria Kling on 24 Nov 1712 at Miesau
5. Jacob m Magdalena Grieb (1694-1761) on 24 Nov 1711 at Miesau; 9 children
