Sara was born Dec. 24, 1898. She was the daughter of Robert Long and Kate Glasscock. Like her sister Sue Long she worked in the garment industry and never married after helping to raise her siblings, who had been orphaned when their parents died during the 1918-1919 Influenza Pandemic. Sara was a Christian Scientist and never sought medical advice or took medication. She died Oct. 5, 1984 at age 86 from cancer.[1]
Sara is buried at Floral Hills Funeral Home and Cemetery, Kansas City, Jackson County, Missouri, USA.[2]
